Overall Analysis Certificate of accredation

St. Ann's College of Education volunteered to be assessed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and submitted its self-study report in April 2001. A peer team was constituted by the council to visit the institution and to validate the self-study report. The peer team consisting Prof. C.L. Kundu as Chairman and Prof. S. Padmanabhaiah as Member visited the institution for two days i.e., on 24th and 25th July 2001 with Dr. M.S. Shyamasundar, Assistant Adviser, NAAC functioning as the Coordinating Officer.

The peer team considered that there are a number of features of the institution’s approach to quality assurance and standards, which it would wish to commend.

  • encouragement and the support given by the management to  the institution
  • dedication and commitment of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution
  • effective leadership and good human relationship resulting in efficient team work
  • strict discipline maintained in the institution
  • smooth functioning of the tutor-ward system that facilitates the monitoring of the students, in both academic and personal issues.
  • facilitating aspect of the institution to promote student participation and achievement in community work and other related extension activities
  • adequacy, maintenance and future planning of infrastructure
