Overall Analysis Certificate of accredation

St. Ann’s College of Education volunteered to be assessed by the National Assessment  and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and submitted its Self Assessment Report (SAR) in May 2009.    The Peer Team consisting  Prof. (Mrs.) Pankajam,  Chairperson, NAAC Peer Team, (Former VC, Gandhigram Rural Institute Deemed University), Gandhigram,  Tamil Nadu.,  Prof. Y.F.W. Prasada Rao, Member & Co-ordinator,  NAAC Peer Team, (Former Dean, Faculty of Education & Principal, IASE, Andhra University), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and Dr. (Mrs.) Aruna Anand,  Member, NAAC Peer Team, Principal, D.A.V. College of Education for Women,  Amritsar, Punjab visited the college on 9th and 10th of October, 2009 to validate the SAR.

The Peer Team identified the following strengths and best practices of the institution.

  • Autonomous Status of the college.
  • Frequent revision of curriculum.
  • Student-Centered approach in many areas like Language Skills, Life Skills, Communication Skills and Service Learning.
  • Liberal use of ICT by Staff and Students.
  • Students and Staff are engaged in Research Activities, organizing Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and Consultancy.
  • Providing graded computer courses to students.
  • Providing adequate facilities to suit different requirements of the students.
  • Conducive teaching learning environment.
  • Organization of many faculty development programmes.
  • Good relationship with stakeholders is maintained.
  • A strong Alumni Association which contributes to the growth and development of the college.
